Personalised Acacia Timber Coasters

A small detail that finishes the space properly.

Crafted from solid acacia hardwood, our personalised timber coasters are precision laser engraved in-house before undergoing a multi-stage hand-finishing process developed in our Sydney workshop.

Rather than leaving the engraving as a standard laser burn, each design is carefully finished with a rich black wax inlay, bringing greater depth, definition and contrast to the engraving while allowing the natural character of the acacia to remain the feature.

The result is a beautifully substantial timber coaster with a refined, boutique finish — made individually, not mass produced.

Our Black Inlay Engraving Process

Acacia is prized for its beautiful grain and natural variation, but those same variations in colour and density can produce differences in conventional laser engraving.

We've refined our finishing process specifically to work with those characteristics rather than hide them.

Each coaster is:

• Precision laser engraved into the solid timber
• Carefully cleaned and sealed by hand
• Finished with a rich black wax worked into the engraving
• Individually wiped and buffed to reveal the natural acacia grain
• Protected with a hard wax finish for everyday use

This additional hand-finishing creates the deep black contrast and defined detail you see in our engraving while preserving the individual character of every piece of timber.

Solid Acacia Hardwood

We use solid 10mm acacia hardwood, selected for its strength, beautiful grain and rich natural colouring.

Because acacia is a genuine natural material, variations in grain, tone, knots and markings are part of its character. No two coasters will ever be exactly alike.

It's precisely this variation that makes each finished set unique.

Made for Entertaining

The final hard wax finish enhances the natural warmth of the acacia while providing protection against the everyday moisture associated with glasses and drinks.

Substantial in the hand and designed to complement our wine barrel furniture, they're equally at home on a whisky bar, dining table, outdoor entertaining area or commercial bar.
